The latest version of the Eagle E-Type Speedster has had weight pared to just over 2,200 pounds. It is powered by a fuel-injected 4.7-liter inline-6 that makes 310 horsepower and 340 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a five-speed gearbox driving the rear wheels through a limited-slip differential.
Eagle lists the 0-60 mph time at “under 5 seconds.”
Eagle’s founder Henry Pearman said of the Speedster Lightweight in a statement: “The elements in this remarkable alchemy are an original Jaguar E-Type, thirty years of dedicated experience, and the absolute cream of our widely acclaimed engineering developments and upgrades.”
No word on pricing, but expect more information to be released in June.
