Jaguar has recently announced that a prototype version of the F-Type supercar will make its public debut during the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, between the 28th of June and the 1st of July.
According to the British based automaker, the all-new Jaguar F-Type supercar will be officially presented to the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the prototype version will be powered by a 3.0 liter V6 supercharged engine, which will generate a total output of 375 BHP and 332 lb-ft of torque.
“Goodwood Festival of Speed is focused around the dynamic hill runds where the public can see, hear and smell the cars – this is why we have chosen it as the place to showcase an F-Type prototype”, said the Jaguar global brand director, Adrian Hallmark.
As a quick reminder, the final production version of the Jaguar F-Type will hit the market sometimes next year and, unlike the prototype, this will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine, which will generate an impressive 503 horsepower and 542 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the upcoming British sports car so we will have to wait until the full production version will be revealed in 2013.
