The British based automaker Jaguar has some big plans for its popular F-Type as the sports car will soon get a new range-topping version. This will be called the F-Type SVR and it is expected to use an upgraded version of the 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine, which is capable of currently producing a total output of 550 HP (404 kW) and 680 (501 lb-ft) of torque, in the F-Type R, but it has been tuned to 575 HP (423 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque in the F-Type Project 7.
According to the report, the Jaguar F-Type will be offered in both body styles available, coupe and convertible, and it is expected to produce more than 600 HP. The car will be easily differentiated as, besides the more powerful engine added to it, it will also be getting a slightly updated exterior design, which will be more aggressive. The Jaguar F-Type has been in production since 2013 and it has a front engine and rear-wheel drive layout. The vehicle is currently offered in three versions, the F-Type, carrying a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 petrol, the F-Type S, getting the same unit but with more power, and the range-topping F-Type V8 S, which is coming with the above mentioned 5.0 liter supercharged unit.
