The British based automaker Jaguar is currently planning to offer a manual transmission for the impressive F-Type.
The Jaguar F-Type is truly planning on becoming a petrol head’s first choice and in between announcing new engines for the model and even an all-wheel drive, in order to make it more popular in countries where real winter really kicks in, the company is now planning to introduce a manual transmission for it. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but according to the guys from Autocar there are approximately 10 percent of F-Type drivers who rather change gear by themselves.
Jaguar has introduced the F-Type a year ago and the model in question has also entered production back then. It is currently being assembled in Castle Bromwich, Birmingham, United Kingdom, and it has been designed by Ian Callum. The F-Type is being offered in two body styles, a two-door coupe and a two-door roadster, and it has a three-engine choice, which includes the 340 HP 3.0 liter V6, the 380 HP 3.0 liter V6 and the 5.0 liter V6 with 495 HP / 550 HP. All of them are currently connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
