The British based automaker Jaguar is planning to develop a road racer version of the F-Type, which will get an impressive 600 BHP.
The Jaguar F-Type is getting ready to receive a new top of the line version which will be powered by a supercharged V8 engine, producing as much as 600 BHP. This will become the most powerful Jaguar on sale, even if the engine used will probably be the same 5.0 liter supercharged V8 from the XJR and XKR-S, but the output figure will be stretched way beyond the current 542 BHP. The hotter Jaguar F-Type will probably hit the production line in 2016, so if you’re looking into it, you have some waiting to do.
As a quick reminder, the Jaguar F-Type has been priced from 69,895 USD in the U.S., for the entry-level version. This is getting a 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine, producing 340 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque, enough for a 0 to 60 mph sprint of 5.1 seconds and a 161 mph top speed. The F-Type V6 S is getting a 3.0L V6 with 380 HP under its hood and the F-Type V8 S a 5.0L V8 with 495 HP and 460 Nm of torque.
