The British based automaker Jaguar has recently announced that more than 2, 000 orders have been received for the new F-Type sports car.

Jaguar says that more than 2, 000 orders for the all-new F-Type have been received so far and this is almost a third of the company’s sales plans for the sports car in 2013, which has been set at 6,000 to 7,000 units. Most orders have been received from European customers but the largest market for the new sports car signed by Jaguar is United States.

In the United Kingdom, prices for the Jaguar F-Type will start at 58,500 GBP for the base entry-level version, the S will cost 67,500 GBP and the top of the line V8 S will set you back for 79,950 GBP. Customers in the United States will get the same three versions of the F-Type, with the first one being priced from 69,000 USD, the second one from 81,000 USD and the top spec from 92,000 USD.

The entry-level Jaguar F-Type will get a 340 HP 3.0 liter V6 engine under its hood, the F-Type S will get a 380 HP 3.0 liter V6 unit while the F-Type V8 S will be powered by a V8, producing a total output of 495 HP and 625 Nm of torque. The Jaguar F-Type V8 S can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 275 km/h.
