The British based automaker Jaguar has recently confirmed the 2015 XE coming with the V6 engine found on the current F-Type.
The development of the Jaguar XE is no longer a surprise for anyone as our spy photographers have managed to capture the model on camera several times, while it was being tested, but now, we finally know what engine this will use, once it will hit the market. According to the car manufacturer, the engine lineup will include the V6 unit found on the F-Type, but the company isn’t saying anything about its total output or performance.
We do know that in the sports car, the 3.0 liter V6 engine is producing a total output of 340 HP (250 kW) and it also has 380 HP (279 kW) in the F-Type S. The already confirmed top of the line version, capable of reaching 300 km/h (186 mph), is believed to get this engine under its hood, while on the other end, there will be an economical 2.0 liter diesel, which will allow the XE to emit less than 100 g/km of CO2. The Jaguar XE will become a rival for the BMW 3-Series, for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and for tha audi A4, and it will go on sale in 2015.
