Jaguar has announced the price list for the new mid-size sedan, the XE, in the United Kingdom.
After starting its production in Solihull recently, the Jaguar XE is now returning with its official starting price, on its local market. The cheapest version of the model costs 26,995 GBP and it is aimed towards the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4. The XE has a lot of technical innovations, which include the new materials, body, chassis and so on. In terms of looks, it is very similar to the XF but keep in mind that this is smaller and it has the perfect recipe to become a best-seller in the segment, meaning rear-wheel drive, a four-door body style and the Jaguar badges on its body.
The Jaguar XE has an engine lineup which is starting with the 2.0 liter four-cylinder Ingenium, producing a total output of 163 HP (119 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. The same unit is also coming with 180 HP (132 kW) and 430 Nm (317 Nm of torque). The 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol burner, with its four cylinders, has a total of 200 HP (147 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. This is also offered in a more powerful version with 240 HP (176 kW) and 340 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque. The range-topping version is a 3.0 liter V6 supercharged offered with 340 HP (250 kW) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque. Rumor has it that the Jaguar XE SVR will come soon and rival the M3, C63 AMG and RS4.
