Jaguar has been recently spotted while testing the brand new XE entry-level sedan on a frozen lake, in Sweden.
Our spy photographers have managed to capture on camera the brand new Jaguar XE. The model in question has been already teased, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, last week, by the British based automaker, but this is actually the first time when we get to see it in action. The new entry-level sedan is wearing a lot of camouflage in its body but even so, we can still see that it pretty much looks like the XF, on a smaller scale.
The new Jaguar XE will ride on the iQ[AI] platform and it will get shorter front and rear overhangs, a more compact body and other similarities for the segment, which will allow it to go up against rivals such as the BMW 3-Series, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A4. A generous engine family will be added to the spiritual successor of the X-Type which will include units capable of hitting 300 km/h. In terms of CO2, the car manufacturer wants to have a frugal version too, which will emit 100 g/km. Rumors are saying that the XE baby sedan will be unveiled this summer. Deliveries should begin in 2015.
