Jaguar XF Diesel has crossed the U.S. image

In order to prove its GT abilities, the Jaguar XF, with its 2.2 liter Diesel engine, has been shipped to the United States just last week, and after it managed to cross the whole country from the East Coast to Los Angeles, California, in just seven days, it was placed in the spotlights once again, just like at the beginning of its journey.

“This project was designed primarily to test the potential economy of the XF 2.2. The incredible figures achieved by the car were accomplished through making every element of the new XF as efficient as possible – from its aerodynamics to its four-cylinder 2.2 liter diesel engine linked to an eight-speed gearbox. The whole XF team is incredibly proud of what’s been achieved and it’s a graphic demonstration of the strength, engineering integrity and efficiency of the car”, said the XF project manager within Jaguar Cars, Paul Alcock.

Even if it’s got UK number plates on it, the white model is actually the first Jaguar XF in the US and it’s being powered by a 2.2 liter diesel engine which is generating a total output of 190 HP with a peak torque of 332 lb-ft, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8 seconds, with a top speed of 140 mph and an average fuel consumption of just 57 mpg.
