The British based automaker Jaguar has just launched the facelifted version of the XF in Malaysia, with a series of cosmetic changes.
After the company was well received at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo, Jaguar decided to stay in Asia and launch its XF facelift model in Malaysia, which is coming with some design changes, meant to keep the vehicle “in line” with the flagship XJ. Jaguar says that the facelifted version is quite different than the one currently found on the market, and the main differences are the front fascia, with its grille, hood, fenders and triangular side vents, which have been revised.
According to the car manufacturer, the Jaguar XF facelift is available in Malaysia in three variants, the 3.0 V6 petrol, the 3.0 Diesel S and the top of the range XFR with its 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine. Jaguar says that the 3.0 liter V6 unit is developing a total output of 238 PS at 6.800 rpm and it has a peak torque of 293 Nm at 4.100 rpm, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. The 3.0 liter diesel unit has 275 PS at 4.000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 2.000 rpm, doing the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 6.4 seconds.
Last but not least, the 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine is generating a total output of 510 PS at 6.000 – 6.500 rpm and it has 635 Nm of torque at 2.500 rpm – 5.500 rpm, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Jaguar says that all the engines are mated to six-speed automatic transmissions and all the models have been electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The Jaguar XF 3.0 V6 has been priced at RM488.888, the XF 3.0 Diesel S costs RM509.888 and the top of the line XFR 5.0 V8 can be bought for RM888.888. All the prices exclude road tax and insurance.
