Jaguar has officially announced a set of changes for the current XF, like the R-Sport Black Edition, which is apparently available for order right away.
The Jaguar XF will be leaving the production line, in its current generation, but not before getting a series of changes on a last special edition. The model in question is called the Jaguar XF R-Sport Black and it is being added with features such as the 770-watt Meridian surround sound system, the 18-way memory function sports seats, the leather upholstery, a choice of five exterior paint finishes, 20-inch black Kalimnos alloy wheels and several other tweaks.
Jaguar says that the XF R-Sport Black will also be getting the heated windscreen, the heated seats, the front parking sensors or the rearview camera as part of the winter comfort and parking packages, which are standard across the range. Power to the last special edition of the XF is being provided by a 2.2 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, which is capable of producing a total of 200 HP (147 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.
The unit is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.5s and to go up to 225 km/h (140 mph). This model is basically a last “hurrah” for the popular XF as the new generation of the model is going to be officially presented to the public on the 1st of April, during the 2015 New York Auto Show. Prices for the current XF R-Sport Black start from 38,350 GBP or from 40,850 GBP for the Sportbrake.
