Jaguar is planning a new range-topping XFR-S which will be officially presented to the public during this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
With the Paris Motor Show coming in pretty soon, in September, the British based automaker is ignoring the French event but it has plans to attend the Los Angeles Auto Show, two months later, where the Jaguar XFR-S will be presented to the public in a world premiere. Even if there is no official word on the Jaguar XFR-S from the car manufacturer just yet, the guys at autocar.co.uk are saying that the model will make its debut in November, during the Los Angeles Auto Show, and the numerous spy photos are confirming its existence.
According to the source mentioned above, the all-new Jaguar XFR-S will go head to head against models like the new Audi RS6, the BMW M5 with its 560 HP or the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG with 518 HP or with 550HP with the optional AMG performance package. Rumors are saying that the Jaguar XFR-S will be powered by a high performance version of the company’s 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine, which will generate a total output of 550 horsepower. A sports suspension, a modified exhaust system and updates to its body are also expected. More details on the Jaguar XFR-S will be announced in November, during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
