A rendering image with the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake has recently hit the web and this might be a first glimpse into the model.
After it was officially presented to the public last month during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Jaguar XFR-S is entering our news once again, this time with the help of a rendering which might be a preview of its Sportbrake brother. If it makes it into production, the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake will be a serious competitor for the brand new Audi RS6 Avant or for the upcoming 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Estate facelift. BMW still has to work on the new M5 Touring, which is expected to make its public debut next year.
The Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake will be powered by the same engine found on the regular XFR-S and on the XKR-S, the 5.0 liter supercharged V8, producing a total output of 542 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm of torque (502 lb-ft). The unit will be mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission with Quickshift. The XFR-S sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
