Jaguar XFR Sportrake considered
The British based automaker Jaguar is planning to produce a new model which will stand below the upcoming XFR-S Sportbrake and it will be named the XFR Sportbrake.
The new Jaguar XFR Sportbrake has been hinted by the company’s boss, Adrian Hallmark, in an interview with Autocar. According to the Jaguar official, the XFR Sportbrake might be used as a halo model and the vehicle is expected to hit the market soon, but in a limited edition.
“It would be tricky to re-engineer the self-leveling rear suspension to cope with the high performance of such an engine”, said Adrian Hallmark.
The Jaguar official said that the new XFR Sportbrake might use a 5.0 liter V8 engine which will produce a total output of 510 HP (375 kW) and 625 Nm torque. The model in question will be produced in just 300 to 400 units and it will stand below the XFR-S Sportbrake. Additional details on the XFR Sportbrake are limited for the moment but we know that its more powerful brother will come with a 542 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm of torque (502 lb-ft) from the 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine.
