Mazda’s newest creation is called the Carol and this has been recently unveiled on its local auto market.
The 2015 Mazda Carol is the newest addition to the company’s lineup. The model in question has been recently unveiled in Japan and it is basically a rebadged version of the Suzuki Alto. The vehicle has dropped the Kodo design language and it is offered, in the entry-level version, with a 2-speaker audio system, air conditioning, keyless entry and so on. More expensive versions will be adding the heated front seats, the power windows, tilt steering wheel and several other tweaks.
Under the hood, the 2015 Mazda Carol is being offered with a 660cc engine, which is producing a total of 49 HP (36 kW) and 58 Nm (42 lb-ft) of torque. The VVT version is good for 52 HP (38 kW) and 63 Nm (46 lb-ft) of torque. The fuel consumption in the entry-level stands at 3.6L / 100km (76.8 mpg UK / 63.9 mpg US) while in the other version, this stands at 2.7L / 100km (104.5 mpg UK / 87 mpg US). Prices for the model will start from 847,800 YEN, or the equivalent of 5,800 euros.
