Japan – Mazda CX-3 gets more than 10,000 orders image

No less than 10,000 orders for the brand new Mazda CX-3 have been received so far in Japan in just one month.

The Mazda CX-3 is turning out to be one popular vehicle on its local market, Japan, as more than 10,000 orders for it have been received in just a month. The carmaker says that 63 percent of the orders are for the XC Touring trim level and the most popular color chosen is the Ceramic Metallic, selected by 44 percent of buyers, being followed by the Soul Red, for 19 percent.

The sub-compact Mazda CX-3 is the smallest crossover to ever be developed by the carmaker. This is sitting below the current CX-5 and it is sharing its underpinnings with the Mazda2 supermini. Some of the rivals of the model include the Nissan Juke, the Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur, Opel Mokka, Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport and so on.

The engine lineup is made out of the 109 kW and 192 Nm of torque 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol unit and the 77 kW and 270 Nm of torque 1.5 liter four-cylinder turbo diesel. Some of the features found on the crossover include the LED headlights, DRLs, fog lights, head-up display, high beam control, blind spot monitor, smart city brake, lane departure warning, leather / suede upholstery, rearview camera, internet radio, 7.0-inch touch screen display for the MZD Connect infotainment system, sat-nav and several other tweaks.
