Jay Leno, the host of ‘Tonight Show’ will give his 2012 Fiat 500 Prima Edizione to be auctioned at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August.
Leno, who has an amazing collection of expensive and rare cars, asked Santa Monica auction house Gooding & Co. to sell the 2012 Fiat 500 Prima Edizione. The money will be given to the Fisher House Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization that offers support and services to the families of wounded American soldiers.
His 2012 Fiat 500 Prima Edizione is one of the 500 manufactured to commemorate Fiat’s return to the U.S. auto market in 2011. The vehicle, numbered 00002, is the second produced from the total of 500 and the first to be delivered to a customer. The car’s body is white with a black stripe and a ‘500’ detail, and it is expected to fetch between $25,000 to $35,000.
“Hopefully some good samaritan will pay way more than it’s worth,” Leno said. “It’s a fun car to drive, it’s a cool little car. Any time you want to take the little car instead of the big car, then you are doing it right.”
