Jay Leno has added a brand new supercar to his garage, the McLaren P1, which has been produced in just 375 units.
One of the most famous petrol heads out there, Jay Leno, has bought a McLaren P1. Leno was the first person outside McLaren to drive it and he fell in love with it on the spot, adding it to his impressive car collection. The McLaren P1 has been officially presented to the public back in March 2013, during the Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere. The model in question has been produced in 375 units and almost all of them have been sold out, despite the 1.15 million USD price.
Power to the McLaren P1 is being provided by the 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, the same one used on the MP4-12C and 12C Spider, which has been revised and mated to an electric motor, generating 170 HP (132 kW) and 260 Nm of torque (192 lb-ft). The total output produced stands at 916 HP (674 kW) and 900 Nm of torque (663 lb-ft), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in less than 3 seconds and a limited top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
