Jay Leno has recently confirmed taking the delivery of his brand new toy, the McLaren P1, which is also the first one ever to be delivered in the United States.
Just a day ago we were telling you about as the hybrid supercar in question has been spotted while being taken off a truck and now, the former Tonight Show host has confirmed taking the delivery of the impressive ride on his social media pages and also on the Jay Leno’s Garage website, where he has posted several photos with it.
The McLaren P1 is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar and it’s being assembled in Woking, Surrey, England. The model in question will be produced in just 375 units and it will be offered in a two-door coupe body style, with a rear mid-engine layout. Power is being provided by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 petrol, which is good for 727 HP (542 kW) and 719 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. This is backed up by an electric motor, developed in-house, rated at 176 HP (131 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft). The total output stands at 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque, which is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 2.8 seconds and a top speed electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mph).
