Jay Leno has went for a quick spin in the brand new Porsche 918 Spyder, during the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
One of the most famous petrol heads out there, Jay Leno, has recently went for a spin in the impressive Porsche 918 Spyder. The supercar in question has been officially presented to the public, in pre-production form, during the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and our guess is that Jay Leno “happened” to be in the area. After a quick chat with the Porsche officials at the event, he was handed the keys to the company’s first ever hybrid supercar.
The brand new Porsche 918 Spyder will be officially presented to the public, in its final production form, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere. The supercar in question will be powered by a 4.6 liter V8 engine, “helped” by two electric motors. The internal combustion engine will be good for just over 600 HP while the electric motors will generate 150 HP each. The total output produced will stand at approximately 885 HP, enough for a 0 to 60 mph sprint of 2.8 seconds and a 210 mph top speed. The Porsche 918 Spyder will rival the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1.
