Jeep has announced its plans to introduce three new models at the 2012 Paris Motor Show on the 27th of September.
According to the North American based automaker, the first model to be introduced will be the Grand Cherokee SRT8 limited edition, which will get a white exterior with gloss black accents, Nappa leather, heated steering wheel with mounted paddle shifters, stainless steel pedals, carbon fiber trim and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Power will be provided by a 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine which will generate 462 HP (468 PS / 344 kW) and624 Nm of torque (460 lb-ft). The unit will be mated to a five-speed automatic transmission which will enable it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 257 km/h (160 mph).
Besides the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 special edition, the company will also reveal the Compass Overland, which will be a new top of the line model equipped with UConnect infotainment system, Boston Acoustics audio system, leather seats and more. Power to the Jeep Compass Overland will be provided by a 2.2 liter turbo diesel, producing 161 HP (163 PS / 120 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the all-wheel drive system.
Last but not least, Jeep will offer the Wrangler Moab special edition, the same one announced recently for North America, which is getting the same equipment level like the leather seats, dome hood or 17-inch alloy wheels. More details on the models mentioned above will be announced at the French automotive event.
