Jeep has recently announced a new version of the Grand Cherokee, named the S Limited, which will hit the market sometimes this year.
According to the North American based automaker, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee S Limited is part of the company’s expansion onto the Old Continent, along with models like the Jeep Wrangler Mountain or the Jeep Compass Black Edition, both of them special editions revealed not too long ago. Jeep says that the Grand Cherokee S Limited is aimed towards a more youthful customer base and the new version is adding another trim level to the Laredo, Limited, Overland and SRT.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee S Limited is coming with a black gloss front grille surround, a rear diffuser, headlamp bezels and 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior design of the American crossover hasn’t been left aside either and this is now fitted with Ventilated Nappa leather, a heated steering wheel, racing pedals and a bunch of carbon fiber accents.
Power to the new Jeep Grand Cherokee S Limited is being provided by a 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel engine, which is developing a total output of 238 HP at 4,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 406 lb-ft, available between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm. Jeep says that the same engine is also offered in a lower output of 187 HP and 325 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.
