The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has been upgraded recently by the aftermarket specialists from Geiger Cars but updated don’t come cheap, unfortunately.
Owners of the Jeep Grand Cherokee who are looking to upgrade their rides can now turn their heads towards the aftermarket package signed by Geiger Cars. According to the tuning company, the model in question has received the beefier antiroll bars, the sport springs, the foil wrap and the 22-inch alloy wheels, which are contributing to its looks, but the real modifications are found, of course, under its hood.
“Against the stopwatch, the new numbers are quite spectacular. The SRT suffix in the standard cars name stands for ‘Street and Racing Technology’ a label that is even more appropriate now as the supercharged GeigerCars.de version blasts to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds, and on to 295 km/h. This is a sensational performance for an SUV that will seriously upset supercar drivers”, said the tuner in its press release.
The 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine found under the hood of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT has received an optimized ECU, upgraded pistons and a 2.9 liter supercharger. Thanks to these, the unit is now capable of putting down no less than 708 HP (528 kW) and 776 Nm (572 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration made in just 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph). The cost for these upgrades stands at 23,900 USD and you still have to add the base price of the SUV.
