Hennessey Performance has released some official details and images with its latest creation, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Twin Turbo.
According to the North American aftermarket specialists at Hennessey Performance, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Twin Turbo is powered by the HPE800 6.4 liter HEMI V8 engine, which now has an increased displacement to 7.0 liters, in addition to a large twin turbo system. Hennessey Performance says that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Twin Turbo’s engine is developing a total output of 805 horsepower and has a peak torque of 1.115 Nm (823 lb-ft), which allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
“We’ve built a dozens of 600-800 HP Jeep SRT8s over the past five years, so we have an existing client base who will want to upgrade the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 to an even higher level”, said John Hennessey, the company founder and president. “This vehicle is designed for the performance minded driver who lives in Aspen or Moscow and wants to be the fastest in all weather conditions.”
Besides the impressive power developed by its large engine, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Twin Turbo is also fitted with an upgraded transmission system, large Brembo brakes, a sport suspension system, lighter alloy wheels, carbon fiber front splitter and a custom leather interior. If you think that all of this power comes cheap, you should know that the price of the SUV has been set at 235.000 USD, and only 24 units will be made.
