The Jeep Junior will become a global model, once it will hit the market, while its brother, the Fiat 500X, remains unknown for the moment where it will be sold.
One day after our spy photographers have managed to catch the Fiat 500X and the Jeep Junior on camera in the Alps, where they were being tested, the two models are ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of the Italian based carmaker, which has announced a few details on it. A source within the company has told us that the Jeep Junior will be launched first and it will be sold globally, as the brand is a much more important one.
The Fiat 500X remains in the books too but the carmaker isn’t sure just yet on what markets to sell it and discussions on the topic are on as we speak. The Fiat 500X is expected to get the same engines as the 500L, which basically means that we will see a 0.9L 105 HP TwinAir Turbo, a 1.4L MultiAir Turbo with 160 HP and a MultiJet II turbo diesel, with 105 HP. The two compact models will be riding on the Small Wide platform and the Fiat 500X will be assembled in Melfi. More details on two vehicles are limited for the moment.
