The iconic Moab Easter Jeep Safari is coming closer and closer (March 20 – 27) and Jeep is gearing up to introduce no less than seven new vehicles during this year’s edition.
The company is of course trying to keep the details under wraps but has decided to entice us with some teasers – although we already know that one of those seven outings is the Wrangler Trailcat. There isn’t much to tell you about the model just yet, but the teaser depicts it with a bright green exterior with a black grille and black body stripes. We also noticed the Wrangler Trailcat will come with a ventilated hood, unique fender flares, and beadlock-style wheels with off-road tires. The Trailcat moniker in itself might be a giveaway as it hints towards some kind of relationship with the Dodge Hellcat models – maybe even packing the same supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. Inside the Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat versions the monster powertrain develops 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
The second model that has been officially teased is named the Crew Chief and again appears to have started life as a regular Wrangler. But the Crew Chief now packs custom body work including a retro-inspired grille, a new hood, and ventilated front fenders. We also noticed the ruggedized front bumper, new fender flares, and beadlock-style wheels with off-road tires. We’re expecting the Jeep brand to reveal online all of its seven new models ahead of the event’s start, with the Moab Easter Jeep Safari kicking off on March 19.
