Former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has taken a lap in the Ferrari 488 GTB on his last ever run on the famous Top Gear test track.
Do you remember the picture with Jezza and a Mercedes-AMG GT, a Ferrari LaFerrari and a Ferrari 488 GTB behind him? Well, the audience should have helped him decide what to drive on his last ever lap around the Top Gear test track, but he has recently made his mind as he has chosen the successor of the 458 Italia. You can check out the small photo gallery posted below and stay tuned for more details, images and videos from this test drive.
The Ferrari 488 GTB is the newest supercar to come out of the Maranello facility. The model in question has been officially presented to the public back in March, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, and it is coming as a replacement for the old 458 Italia. The 488 GTB has maintained its rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout and it now stands at 4,568 mm long, 1,952 mm wide, 1,213 mm tall and riding on a 2,650 mm wheelbase. The supercar has received an updated design which is making it instantly recognizable and under its hood the 4.5 liter naturally aspirated V8 has been dropped for a 3.9 liter twin turbo, rated at 661 HP (493 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 3.0 seconds and top speed is 330 km/h (210 mph).
