The famous Top Gear presenter has recently went for a spin in the new Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG.
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are currently filming the new Top Gear season and after traveling a lot in the past few months, Jezza gave us a hint of what we should expect. We’re talking about the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, in the AMG version, which was recently tested by Clarkson.
“People of the M40. I’m running late so if you see a white Mercedes A Class in your mirrors, would you mind awfully getting out of its way?”, said Clarkson on his official Twitter account. “It’s a test car. And it’s the AMG version”, he added.
The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG has been unveiled in June, this year, and this is the first compact vehicle developed by AMG. The model is getting an engine made in a partnership with High Performance Engine and thanks to some significant improvements it’s producing a total output of 330 HP And 400 Nm of torque.
The unit will be assembled in the birthplace of AMG, Affalterbach, and production will be maintained in the Koleda factory, the same place where the four-cylinder engines of the A-Class and B-Class are being made. The new Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will make its official debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. The model won’t be launched in the United States.
