JLR Reports November Sales Up 14%

Jaguar Land Rover reported November sales up 14% to 29,893 units.

In November Jaguar sold 4,031 vehicles, a decrease of 5%, as customers wait for the 2013 Model Year XF and XJ model ranges, which include new engine options and all-wheel drive. During the same period, Land Rover sold 25,862 vehicles, an increase of 17% compared with the same month last year.

“Both Jaguar and Land Rover brands continue to deliver strong sales globally. The record breaking performance in our home market, the UK, is great news,” said Jaguar Land Rover Director (Group Sales Operations) Phil Popham.

JLR saw increases in almost every market last month, with China up 43%, Asia Pacific up 26%, the UK up 15% and Europe up 12%. The North American market saw a decrease of 7%, due to increased competitive conditions and the model year changeover. During the first eleven months of the year, JLR’s total sales reached 324,184 units, up 32%.

“Since the start of the year, Jaguar Land Rover has seen strong sales performance across all of its major markets, with increases in China (73%), Asia Pacific (37%), the UK (20%), Europe (37%) and North America (12%),” said Phil Popham.
