It seems that Google is looking for “self-driving vehicle operators” in Phoenix to test its expanding fleet of autonomous tech-packed cars.
It sounds like a dream job to work for Google and to get your hands on the company’s cutting-edge self-driving technology. Therefore, you should not miss this opportunity, as there are driver positions out for grabs at Google’s autonomous project in Phoenix, Arizona. According to the job description on HireArt, you will have to drive 6-8 hours a day, five days a week, one of its “independent” cars and to collect and provide data for the engineering team. The employees must be able to type at least 40 words per minute behind the wheel, but this will not be an issue since they will not actually need to drive. Simply enough? Not quite, as applicants are also required to have Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Other such opportunities may soon arise, as Google have lately been really busy in expanding its self-driving program. The tech giant has recently entered into an agreement with Fiat Chrysler to integrate the autonomous technologies into the new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans. The deal marks the first time that Google is working directly with an automaker. Furthermore, it is reportedly looking to buy a really large site in the San Francisco Bay Area to build a new facility for its operations.
