Ken Czubay, Ford’s top U.S. marketing executive, who is retiring, will be replaced by John Felice, who is currently general sales manager for Ford and Lincoln.
Ken Czubay joined Ford in 1970, serving in various management roles for 13 years until 1983 when he left the US automaker to join Nissan North America and then Southeast Toyota Distributors. He came back to Ford in 2008 and was named the automaker’s leader for the US marketing sales, service and dealer operations.
“Ken is one of the top sales and marketing executives in the auto industry,” said Joe Hinrichs, executive vice president and president of the Americas. “His knowledge, passion and strong relationships with our dealers have enabled Ford to capture increased market share and enhance the customer experience. We are grateful for his leadership and congratulate him on his retirement.”
John Felice will be the one to replace Ken Czubay and will report to Jim Farley and Joe Hinrichs. Jim Farley is the executive vice president, marketing, global sales and service for Ford and Lincoln. John Felice has 30 years of experience with Ford and has had various senior marketing and sales positions and also served as Ford’s president for Thailand operations.
Barb Samardzich has also been promoted to Ford of Europe chief operating officer, after he previously served as Ford of Europe’s vice president of product development. She will report to the president of Ford of Europe, Stephen Odell.
