This year’s Frankfurt Motor Show will host a dramatic rear-wheel drive concept sedan with the Kia logo on it, but its name and official figures remain unknown for now.
According to Autocar, the Kia Concept is based on the Hyundai Genesis saloon and takes its power from a powerful V8 petrol engine.
“We have made good progress recently but it is now important for us to improve our brand power. Concepts like these will help a lot with that. But we are prepared to take our time. We will test plenty of ideas before we make any decisions about production”, as the Kia vice chairman and CEO Hank Lee said to Autocar.
The new South Korean concept will have offspring with a convertible version of the Soul aimed at the over-seas auto market and a Cee’d-based roadster with front-wheel drive technology, which are expected to hit the 2012 Detroit and Geneva motor shows.
No other details about Kia’s concept are known for the moment but everything will come to light next month at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
