The first spy shots with the updated version of the Kia Cee’d have been taken and they are revealing the model in a cold environment.
After being officially unveiled three years ago, at the Geneva Motor Show, the current generation of the Kia Cee’d is getting ready to be revamped as the model in question will receive a facelifted version by the end of this year. The popular South Korean hatchback has been caught on camera for the first time and despite wearing some heavy camouflage and being partially covered in snow, we can still spot some of its lines.
Changes made to the 2016 Kia Cee’d will be subtle and they will include the modified front and rear bumpers, some revised headlights and taillights, some modifications made to the front grille and probably some tweaks made to the cabin, where new materials might be used. Keep in mind that none of these, or the actual car, have been confirmed by now, so don’t act too surprised if you will see something else in the final product.
As far as the engine lineup goes, the updated Kia Cee’d will be carrying over the same units as the current model so expect the 1.4 liter with 100 HP and 137 Nm of torque naturally aspirated unit, the 1.6 liter producing 135 HP and 164 Nm of torque, the 1.4L diesel with 90 HP and 220 Nm and the 1.6 diesel with 128 HP and 260 Nm of torque. The GT will pack the same 204 HP and 265 Nm 1.6L turbo gasoline engine. The model should be introduced in Frankfurt, this September.
