The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently released the very first performance specifications with the upcoming Pro Cee’d GT and Cee’d GT.
After being announced to go on sale sometimes next year, the two new hot hatches to make their way onto the market with the Kia badges on their body, the Cee’d GT and the Pro Cee’d GT, are being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing the very first performance details on them. The models in question will get a new front grille, different front and rear bumpers, revised headlights, LED daytime running lights, red brake calipers and 18-inch alloy wheels, amongs others.
The interior design of the vehicles will get Recaro sport seats, bespoke surface materials and alloy pedals. Besides these, the GT version will get suspension tweaks and chassis improvement in order to improve the handling. Power to the two hot hatches will be provided by a 1.6 liter GDI engine, equipped with a twin-scroll turbocharger and with strengthened internal components, which will produce a total output of 204 HP (150 kW) and 265 Nm of torque (195 lb-ft). The unit will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission which will allow the Cee’d GT and the Pro Cee’d GT to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. Additional details on the two Kia models will be announced close to their debut.
