Kia has recently announced its plans to introduce the new Cee’d GT to Italy, where the model should arrive this summer.
After it was officially unveiled back in January 2013, the new Kia Cee’d GT is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing its plans to offer it in Italy too. The first version to arrive in the peninsula will be the five-door hatchback, which will be followed by the three-door Pro_Cee’d GT soon. The model is currently being produced in Zilina, Slovakia, along with the regular five-door version.
As a quick reminder, the Kia Pro Cee’d GT is powered by a 1.6 liter GDI turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 201 HP (150 kW) and it has a peak torque of 265 Nm (195 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the front-wheel drive through a six-speed manual transmission, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.9 seconds. The hot hatch is also receiving an aggressive body kit, red brake calipers, Recaro sport seats and more. No pricing details have been released yet.
