Kia Motor has confirmed that it will unveil the third-generation Kia Carens MPV at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in September.
The new Carens MPV will come in five- and seven-seat variants. Both vehicles will be called Carens.
With a completely fresh, sleek, cab-forward design, lower roofline, longer wheelbase, larger wheels and chrome beltline accent, the new Carens has been conceived around the theme ‘dynamic space’, KIA said.
As we can see from these official images, the new vehicle shares little similarity with the previous model , with a lower roofline akin to the Ford S-Max, larger wheels and chrome beltline accent.
No other details have been released, though we suspect the platform underpinning the vehicle is based on the same front-wheel drive setup underpinning the Kia C’eed hatchback and upcoming 2014 Forte.
The engine range is less clear at this stage, but expect it to mirror the line-up of the new Cee’d closely, including 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrols and diesels.
