The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the Cross GT Concept, during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, in a premiere.
According to the car manufacturer, the Kia Cross GT Concept is coming with a prominent front grille, with rear-hinged doors, with hexagonal glass inserts on the multi-paneled sky lights, with a long wheelbase, a minimalistic cabin, leather upholstery, touch screen infotainment system and more. Even if the Cross GT Concept has four seats, the final production version of the model might hit the market as a seven-seater.
The Kia Cross GT Concept is powered by a 3.8 liter hybridized V6 engine, which is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The setup is providing 400 BHP (298 kW) and 500 lb-ft of torque (677 Nm), which are sent to the torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system. The model can travel on electricity alone for up to 20 miles (32 km). Additional details on the Kia Cross GT Concept are limited for the moment and will probably never be announced, unless the model will indeed make it into production.
