The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently unveiled the Cross GT Concept, in a local premiere, during the 2013 Seoul Motor Show.
The Kia Cross GT Concept is previewing a future production model which is expected to hit the market with seven seats, even if the concept version only has four seats. The Cross GT has rear-hinged doors, hexagonal glass inserts on the multi-paneled sky lights, a prominent front grille, a minimalistic cabin, touch screen infotainment system, leather upholstery, a long wheelbase and some other interesting features which might be eventually adopted onto the final production version of the model.
Power to the Kia Cross GT Concept is being provided by a 3.8 liter hybridized V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 400 BHP (298 kW) and 500 lb-ft of torque (677 Nm), sent to the torque vectoring all-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Kia says that the Cross GT Concept can travel on electricity alone for up to 20 miles (32 km). The Kia Cross GT Concept has been officially presented to the public, for the first time, during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, earlier this year.
