The South Korean based automaker Kia is planning to develop two versions on the GT concept, which might come as a Coupe and as a Wagon, in 2013.
According to the insideline.com, who is citing anonymous sources, the car manufacturer is planning two models which might come as a Coupe and as a Wagon sometimes in 2013, based on the Kia GT Concept presented to the public earlier this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Our source is also telling us that Kia sees the GT as a more affordable alternative to the Audi A7 or the Audi A5 Sportback, but if the manufacturer is bringing its models closer to the premium European brands, a more competitive market will be born.
Sadly this is all we know about the upcoming Kia GT Coupe and Wagon but our source is telling us that the two models might appear in a production form in 2013. As a reminder, the Kia GT Concept has been officially presented to the public at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The vehicle was powered by a 3.3 liter turbocharged V6 engine which was developing a total output of 390 horsepower and it had a peak torque of 394 lb-ft, being mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Power was being sent to the rear wheels for the first time in a Kia, despite the model was a concept.
