The South Korean based automaker Kia is still planning on putting the attractive GT Concept into production, and this should happen sometimes in 2018, if all goes as planned.
In case you have forgotten all about the Kia GT Concept, don’t worry, because according to a new report, the model will be put into production in a few years. Soon-Nam Lee has recently spoken to the guys from Motoring and he said that the concept received a “very positive feedback” and because of this, the model should be put into production. If you are hoping of getting your hands on one, you’re in for a big wait as this should be launched sometimes in 2018.
As you probably already know by now, the Kia GT Concept has been officially presented to the public back in 2011, at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model was considered to be a competitor for the Audi A7 and the initial rumors were saying that this will be powered by a 3.3 liter turbocharged unit, by a 3.8L V6 with 290 HP by a 3.8 liter with 334 HP. The one-off ride had a 3.6 liter unit under its hood, rated at 395 HP (290 kW) and 534 Nm (394 lb-ft) of torque.
