The South Korean based automaker Kia has just released the first official images with the new K3 compact sedan for the local auto market.
The Kia K3 is also known as the Forte or the Cerato and the model will arrive in the United States dealerships in the first quarter of 2013 under the Forte name, while on the Old Continent, the model will hit the market as the Forte. Kia may say that the K3 sedan is unique but if you look closely at the rear end of the vehicle you can see influences from the current Ford Focus sedan.
“Longer, shorter and wider than the previous model, with a longer wheelbase, the new Forte/Cerato generation will be manufactured on a completely new structure”, is what Kia is saying in its short press release.
Speculations are saying that the new Kia K3 is based on the European version of the Kia Cee’d which was officially presented to the public earlier this year during the Geneva Motor Show. Even if the all-new Kia K3 has been officially revealed in images, the company isn’t saying anything about its performance, trim levels, engine lineup or price, but what we know is that the automaker will keep releasing more images with the model once the “Like” number will increase.
