The Kia KX3 Concept has been officially introduced in China recently, during the Guangzhou Motor Show.
After it has leaked in a couple of images just a day before, Kia’s newest creation, the so-called KX3 Concept, has been introduced at the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show. The model in question is serving as a preview for a future compact crossover which will be sold exclusively in China by the (DYK) Dongfeng Yueda Kia joint venture and it is looking pretty much like a downsized Sorento, with the same tiger-nose grille, sharp looking LED headlights, roof rails, chrome body cladding and raised height.
The new Kia KX3 Concept stands at 4,260 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height, riding on a 2,590 mm long wheelbase and providing 400 liters of cargo capacity. The one-off vehicle has a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine under its hood, which is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, sending power to the both axles. The company hasn’t disclosed any details on the company except for the fact that it will have the latest in-car connectivity technology with smartphones support. More details on the KX3 Concept are limited at this time.
