Kia has officially announced its plans to introduce several models at the upcoming 2014 Paris Motor Show.
The South Korean based automaker Kia will be officially pulling the wraps off several models during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, next month. The first one will be a facelifted version of the Rio, which will be getting a new design, thanks to the different front grille, to the new bumpers or the restyled alloy wheels. The cabin of the vehicle will be getting improved sat-nav, a new audio system and some additional chrome trim, while a variety of four engines will become available under its hood, on the Old Continent, connected to a 5-spee manual, 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
The facelifted version of the Kia Venga will also be introduced during the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Kia has added a larger grille for this model, along with new LED taillights, LED daytime running lights, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, darker metal trim in the cabin, a new center stack, optional heated steering wheel and so on. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will include a 1.4L and 1.6L petrol and diesel burners, connected to 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmissions, just like the model mentioned above.
Last but not least, Kia will be introducing the Optima T-Hybrid Concept, which is previewing a new potential model. The vehicle will be taking its power from a standard 1.7 liter CRDi turbo diesel engine, developing 136 HP (100 kW) and this will be backed up by an electric motor and a 48V lead carbon battery pack. The new generation of the Kia Sorento will also be introduced during the French automotive event. More details on these models are limited for the moment.
