The South Korean bases automaker Kia has unveiled the new Niro Concept ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, on the 10th of September.
Kia is getting ready to enter the B-segment for crossovers with its new Niro Concept, which is offering a preview to a future production version. The model in question will rival the popular Nissan Juke, in its segment, along with the Opel Mokka, Peugeot 2008, Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport and so on.
“Accepting any challenge that the assured modern motorist may throw at it, Niro combines a mischievous character in a clearly robust and substantial yet stylish bodyshape featuring a mix of contrasting materials – including stainless steel elements – in compact, purposeful dimensions”, says Kia in its official press release.
The brand new Kia Niro Concept has been created at the company’s design studio in Frankfurt, under the close watch of Gregory Guillaume, the Kia Europe chief designer. The model in question has been especially created for the European market and it will get a new powertrain, a dual exhaust setup and some green accents on the grille, side mirrors and others. Additional details on the model remain unknown for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
