The South Korean based automaker Kia has recently launched the Optima K5 model on the Malaysian auto market.
Kia says that the Optima K5, which has just been launched in Malaysia, comes with auto-leveling HID xenon headlamps and LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, LED rear combination lamps, 10 spoke alloy wheels, rear lip spoiler, gull-wing folding side mirrors and a single tailpipe. The interior has been fitted with leather, a supervision cluster, multifunction four-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters and audio controls, ECO-driving, auto cruise control, six-CD changer audio system with eight speakers (Infinity), Aux / iPod / USB connectivity, dual-zone auto AC, panoramic glass sunroof, push-button start / stop, illuminated door scuff plates, rear view camera, LCD display monitor, electric driver’s seat, six airbags, ABS, EBD, TCS, brake assist and hill-start assist control.
According to the car manufacturer, the Kia Optima K5 in Malaysia comes with just one engine, the 2.0 liter Theta II MPI unit which is developing a total output of 165 PS at 6.200 rpm and has a peak torque of 4.600 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission but there’s no word on performance yet. The Kia Optima K5 can be bought in Malaysia for a starting price of RM143.888 on the road.
