The South Korean automaker is on its way towards revealing the refreshed version of its Forte compact sedan at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
To make sure we remember their important entry-level introduction, the carmaker has decided to preview in new renders the entirety of the Forte’s new design, inside and out. Naturally, given that we’re dealing with renders, the looks are just a little bit on the positive exaggeration side, but we can still see the Stinger influences and the rework done to transform it into a fastback sedan. Kia explains the query for the designers was to deliver a “more sophisticated” look while still holding to the sporty credentials given by the Stinger inspiration.
The sporty sedan has certainly given its looks to the new Forte, especially when discussing the muscular rear – but there’s also a bit of the Sportage crossover in there, given the horizontal strip connection between the taillights. The front continues the sporty take – with refreshed lights and a new bumper featuring broad intakes and smallish fog lamps. Inside, the dashboard has been completely changed with the infotainment screen moved above the new horizontal vents, which are doubled by Stinger-inspired turbine style vents at the extremities.
