Kia Pro Cee’d GT announced for Australia

Kia has recently announced its plans to introduce the new Pro Cee’d GT to Australia, later on this year.

The first hot hatch made by Kia, the Pro Cee’d GT, has been officially unveiled just a day before it will be presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and now the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with an announcement. According to the South Korean based automaker, the brand new 2014 Kia Pro Cee’d GT will make its way into Australia, over the following months, after it will be unveiled during the Swiss automotive event.

The brand new Kia Pro Cee’d GT is coming with an aggressive body kit, with new bumpers, a revised front grille, a dual exhaust system, 18-inch alloy wheels, Recaro seats, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster and much more. Power to the model is being provided by a 1.6 liter GDi turbo engine, producing 204 HP (150 kW) and 265 Nm of torque (195 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.
