The South Korean based automaker Kia is planning to develop a production version of the Provo Concept which might make its way onto the market quite soon.
After it was officially presented to the public just last week, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Kia Provo Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with a rumor, which is saying that the carmaker is planning to develop a production version of the model. The announcement has been made by Benny Oeyen, the company’s European VP of Marketing and Product Planning, who has recently spoken to Auto Express.
“The Provo is a possible niche we can venture into. Our brand is currently rational, but there’s space for a B-Coupe. We will now do some market research to see if people would buy it – it has to make financial sense” said Benny Oeyen.
If it makes it into production, than the Kia Provo will be a rival for models like the Nissan Juke, the Peugeot 2008, the Renault Captur, the Opel / Vauxhall Mokka, the Ford EcoSport and others. The concept version came as a two-door coupe crossover with a grey metallic paint and orange accents, a flat bottomed steering wheel, digital dials and more. Additional details on the Kia Provo remain unknown for the moment.
