Kia Sorento facelift gets first official images and details

Kia has just released the first official images and details with the facelifted Sorento, which is getting some interesting modifications and more efficient engines.

According to the South Korean based automaker, the Kia Sorento facelift has received a new front fascia and the model is now 1cm closer to the road in order to reduce the weight center and improve the ride. The “new” Kia Sorento is still getting the same size, 4,685 mm in length and 1,855 mm in width. Thanks to the 5-star rating received at the EuroNCAP testing, Kia says that the safety level has been improved and the model is getting features like the DBC, ESC, front, side and side curtain airbags, along with the “classic” ABS or EBD.

Under the hood, the facelifted version of the Kia Sorento is getting a 2.2 liter CRDi diesel engine, which has been revised and it’s now offering 195 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque, available at 1,800 rpm. Poweri s being sent to the all-wheel drive via a manual or automatic transmission and the model is able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 9.4 seconds before reaching a top speed of 189 km/h. The Sorento facelift is burning an average of 5.5 liters of fuel every 100 km when equipped with the automatic transmission and 4.9 liters of fuel every 100 km with the manual gearbox.
